Governor Rounds signs bills into law

Pierre – Governor Mike Rounds has signed the following bills into law:

HB1099 An Act to revise the time and process by which investment income is transferred to the general fund.

HB1183 An Act to prohibit pyramid promotional schemes.

HB1189 An Act to permit municipalities to impose and collect sales and use tax at municipally owned airports.

HB1208 An Act to revise certain provisions related to the general occupancy tax.

HB1215 An Act to revise certain provisions regarding the records kept by taxidermists and the inspection of taxidermists.

HB1221 An Act to revise the requirement for the classification of certain structures for taxation.

HB1236 An Act to allow for the exclusion of certain health insurance coverages as a condition of procuring individual health insurance.

HB1258 An Act to allow corporations and other entities to appear before the Public Utilities Commission without legal counsel in certain cases.

HB1260 An Act to revise certain provisions relating to the release of satisfied liens and to provide an additional remedy for the unjust failure to do so.

HB1265 An Act to revise certain rules with regard to school social workers.

SB0005 An Act to appropriate money for the Office of Medical Education and to declare an emergency.

SB0041 An Act to provide for the creation of a no solicitation calls list for persons wishing not to receive unsolicited telephone calls, to create a telephone solicitation account, and to establish certain fees and civil penalties.

SB0071 An Act to provide for the alternative certification of school administrators.

SB0145 An Act to revise certain Central Plains Water Development District boundaries and to provide legal recognition of the Lewis and Clark Rural Water System for certain purposes.

SB0149 An Act to revise certain provisions related to the sale or marketing of unstamped cigarettes.

SB0150 An Act to authorize counties to increase the property tax levy in unorganized townships under certain conditions.

SB0165 An Act to establish the United States census estimates as the basis upon which liquor licenses may be issued.

SB0168 An Act to revise certain provisions regarding variable life insurance policies.

SB0188 An Act to provide a credit against certain taxes paid by railroads for the replacement and repair of rail lines and to revise certain provisions regarding the distribution of the assessed value of a railroad.
