Next Phase of Catron Blvd. Reconstruction to Begin 

Rapid City, S.D.  – The South Dakota Department of Transportation will begin the next phase of reconstruction on state Highway 16B (Catron Boulevard) in Rapid City on Monday, Feb. 27. 

During the construction period, the new westbound lanes between the intersection of U.S. Highway 16/US16B and the East Wellington Drive approach will be graded and paved with concrete. The work is scheduled to be completed by early May. 

Traffic on Catron Boulevard will remain open while the construction is being completed, but will be reduced to one lane in both the eastbound and westbound direction.  Motorists can expect minor delays of no more than five minutes. Alternate routes of travel should be considered to avoid delays.
