Sidewalk, Curb Reconstruction In Three Turner County Towns 

YANKTON, S.D. – The South Dakota Department of Transportation says sidewalk ramp and sidewalk reconstruction, along with curb and gutter repairs, are under way in Viborg, Centerville and Chancellor. 

The contractor is working at various locations along South Dakota Highway 19 in Viborg, Highway 19A in Centerville, and Highway 44 in Chancellor. 

Vehicle and pedestrian traffic will be maintained during the projects, which are expected to be done by May 18. 

Intersections that will be impacted during the work include: 

• Blaine Avenue and state Highway 19 in Viborg
• The alley-way between Blaine Avenue and Lincoln Avenue and Highway 19 in Viborg
• Dakota Street and Highway 44 in Chancellor
• First Street and Highway 44 in Chancellor may be temporarily closed to complete the required work across them

 The prime contractor is Smith & Smith Construction of Tea.
