Nemo Road and Vanocker Road Work to Begin 

NEMO, S.D. – The South Dakota Department of Transportation will begin crack sealing and chip-sealing 19 miles on Nemo Road and five miles on Vanocker Road in Lawrence County, beginning Wednesday, May 30. 

Construction will consist of routing and sealing the cracks on Nemo Road and Vanocker Road.  Once the crack-sealing is complete, Nemo Road and Vanocker Road will be chip-sealed and restriped.  

Traffic will be reduced to one lane through the sealing operations using a pilot car and flaggers.  Motorists can expect short delays during construction and may want to consider alternate routes. 

Jenson Rock and Sand is the prime contractor on the $626,831 project.  

The overall completion date for the project is July 27.
