What: One-vehicle fatal crash

Where: 294th St, just east of 485th Ave, about 3 miles west of Hudson, SD

Driver: Darwin Lee Roskam, 49, Hudson, SD, fatal

Vehicle: 1994 GMC pickup

HUDSON, S.D. - A Hudson man died in a one-vehicle crash on 294th Street just east of 485th Avenue about three miles west of Hudson in Lincoln County on Saturday evening, Aug. 4.

Darwin Lee Roskam, 49, was driving a 1994 GMC pickup eastbound when he lost control of the vehicle and entered the north ditch. The vehicle rolled, and the driver was thrown. He was not wearing a seatbelt and suffered fatal injuries.

No further information is immediately available.

The South Dakota Highway Patrol is investigating. Lincoln County Sheriff's Office assisted.
