Monday, Dec. 17, noon CST, State Capitol – Gov. Dennis Daugaard, Lt. Gov. Matt Michels and Attorney General Marty Jackley will meet in the Governor’s reception room to sign the Certificate of Vote and Certificate of Ascertainment, officially casting South Dakota’s electoral votes for Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney.

 

Monday, Dec. 17, Pierre, Governor’s Mansion – Public tours to view Christmas finery in the Governor’s Mansion will be held on Monday, Dec. 10, and Monday, Dec. 17.  Six holiday tours will be conducted each day, at 9 a.m., 10 a.m., 11 a.m., 1 p.m., 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. CST.  There is a limit of 40 people per tour. Monday, Dec. 17, through Friday, Dec. 21 – The South Dakota Department of Labor and Regulation will host Job Search Assistance Programs (JSAP).  JSAP is a workshop for people recovering from job loss or enhancing their job search skills.  Trained instructors speak on modern-day techniques used to successfully find employment.  Topics covered are: resume and cover letter writing, interviewing etiquette, networking effectively, using social media and much more. JSAP will be offered at the following locations:
