Tuesday, April 2, through Wednesday, April 3 – The South Dakota Department of Labor and Regulation will host Job Search Assistance Programs (JSAP).  JSAP is a workshop for people recovering from job loss or enhancing their job search skills.  Trained instructors speak on modern-day techniques used to successfully find employment.  Topics covered are: resume and cover letter writing, interviewing etiquette, networking effectively, using social media and much more. JSAP will be offered at the following locations:

Tuesday-Thursday, April 2-4, Aberdeen – The South Dakota Board of Regents will meet on the campus of Northern State University for its regular business meeting. Executive sessions begin Tuesday at 6 p.m. and continue from 8 a.m. through 1:30 p.m. Wednesday. The regents’ business meeting convenes at 1:30 p.m. CDT Wednesday, April 3, in the Centennial Room (old addition) in the NSU Student Center. The agenda includes adoption of tuition and mandatory fees for the new academic year beginning Summer 2013 and a report on the Governor Research Centers. The session will include basic information on long-term care, the costs related to it, how to plan for long-term care needs, what Medicare and Medicaid will cover and how the Long-Term Care Partnership Program can help.
