Highway 473 Construction Traffic Changes
LEAD, S.D. – Beginning Monday, Aug. 5, Stewart Slope Road, near the Barefoot Condominiums at Terry Peak in Lead, will be reduced to one lane during daytime hours, according to the South Dakota Department of Transportation.
Motorists can expect one-way traffic with flaggers and delays up to 15 minutes during daytime hours for approximately two weeks. Two-way traffic will be restored during the evening and overnight hours.
Motorists should expect gravel surfacing for approximately 500 feet on Stewart Slope Road.
In addition, on Highway 473 (Nevada Gulch Road), approximately 1000 feet north of the Terry Peak Ski Resort Nevada Gulch parking lot, a traffic diversion around ongoing road work has been constructed with gravel surfacing for approximately 500 feet.
Two-way traffic will be maintained at all times on Highway 473.
