Vehicle: 1996 Chevrolet CK10903 pickup

LEOLA, S.D. – A Leola man died in a one-vehicle crash on 118^th Street about two miles west and three miles south of Leola on Tuesday, Nov. 12.

Stanley John Schock, 67, was driving a 1996 Chevrolet pickup northbound on 360^th Avenue approaching 118^th Street when the vehicle left the roadway. It traveled in the west ditch and struck 118^th Street, vaulting across that street and coming to rest in the north ditch of 118^th Street.

Schock was not wearing a seatbelt. He was dead at the scene.

No further information is immediately available.

The South Dakota Highway Patrol is investigating. McPherson County Sheriff’s Office, Edmunds County Sheriff’s Office and McPherson County Coroner’s Office assisted.
