              Pennington County Fatal Crash

What: Two-vehicle fatal crash

Where: Country Road and Bennett Road, one mile northeast of Rapid City, SD

When: Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2013, 3:08 p.m.

Driver 1: Tammy Lynn Baker, 25, Rapid City, SD, minor injuries

Vehicle 1: 2013 Chevrolet Tahoe

Driver 2: Diana Ruth Pehringer, 60, Rapid City, SD, fatal

Vehicle 2: 2001 Subaru Legacy

RAPID CITY, S.D. – A Rapid City woman has died from injuries received in a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Country Road and Bennett Road northeast of Rapid City on Wednesday, Oct. 30.

Diana Ruth Pehringer, 60, was driving a 2001 Subaru Legacy south on Country Road and failed to stop at the intersection with Bennett Road. Tammy Lynn Baker, 25, of Rapid City, was driving a 2013 Chevrolet Tahoe east on Bennett Road. The two vehicles collided and left the roadway,

Baker, who was wearing a seatbelt, received minor injuries.

Pehringer, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was taken to a Rapid City hospital. On Saturday, Nov, 16, the South Dakota Highway Patrol was notified that she had died of injuries received in the crash.

No further information is immediately available.

The South Dakota Highway Patrol is investigating. Pennington County Sheriff’s Office assisted.
