Minnehaha County Fatal Crash
What: Two-vehicle fatal crash
Where: S.D. Highway 42, six miles east of Sioux Falls
When: Sunday, January 19, 2014, 9:22 p.m.
Driver 1: Meg Raj Gajmer, 18, Sioux Falls, S.D., fatal
Vehicle 1: 2008 Toyota TC
Driver 2: Michael Charles Fedt, 26, Brookings, S.D., serious non-life threatening
Vehicle 2: 2014 Dodge Ram pick-up truck
Passenger 1: Jessica Loosbrock, 25, Sioux Falls, S.D.
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – A Sioux Falls, S.D. man died in a two vehicle crash six miles east of Sioux Falls on Sunday, January 19.
Meg Raj Gajmer, 18, of Sioux Falls, was driving a 2008 Toyota TC eastbound on S.D. Highway 42. Michael Charles Fedt, 26, of Brookings, S.D., was traveling westbound on the Highway in a 2014 Dodge Ram pick-up truck. The vehicles collided in the westbound lane when Gajmer’s vehicle crossed the center lane. The vehicles then traveled into the north ditch where they came to rest.
Gajmer sustained fatal injuries in the crash. He was wearing a seatbelt. Fedt received serious but non-life threatening injuries in the crash. He was not wearing a seatbelt. His passenger, Jessica Loosbrock, 25 of Sioux Falls, S.D., was wearing a seatbelt and sustained minor injuries.
No further information is immediately available.
The South Dakota Highway Patrol is investigating. Minnehaha County Sheriff’s Office assisted.
