What: One-vehicle fatal crash

Where: 268^th St and 463^rd Ave, near 57^th and Ellis Road, Sioux Falls, SD

When: Sunday, Feb. 16, 2014, shortly after midnight

Driver: Raphie Phan, 17, Sioux Falls, SD, fatal

Passenger: Amanda Rose Doty, 19, Sioux Falls, SD, fatal

Vehicle 1: 2004 Honda Accord

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Two people died in a one-vehicle crash at 268^th Street and 463^rd Avenue in Sioux Falls early Sunday, Feb. 16.

Raphie Phan, 17, of Sioux Falls, was driving a 2004 Honda Accord south on 463^rd Avenue toward 268^th Street and lost control on a curve. The vehicle entered the median and rolled. Neither Phan nor a passenger, Amanda Rose Doty, 19, of Sioux Falls, was wearing a seatbelt. Both were thrown from the vehicle and were dead at the scene.

No further information is immediately available.

The South Dakota Highway Patrol is investigating.  Minnehaha County Sheriff’s Office, Sioux Falls Police Department and Turner County Sheriff’s Office assisted.
