Gov. Dennis Daugaard’s Public Commitments; Public Meetings:

 

Tuesday, June 17,  9 a.m. – 4 p.m. CDT, Sioux Falls – Gov. Dennis Daugaard will host a Workforce Summit at the Sioux Falls Convention Center 1101 N. West Ave., Sioux Falls. The Summit will engage state, community, business and education leaders about South Dakota’s workforce challenges and opportunities through panel discussions and breakout groups. It will provide a forum to discuss current programs, learn about workforce demographic trends and offer feedback on potential future strategies. The Summit is free and open to the public. Monday, June 16, 9:30 a.m. CDT – A building committee of the South Dakota Board of Regents will meet via conference call to approve the Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) for the new football stadium at South Dakota State University. An orientation for job seekers will be offered prior to the fair, at 12:30 p.m. The job fair is open to all veterans, active military members and their families.
