Counterpart Celebrates Grand Opening of Addition

BROOKINGS, S.D. – Counterpart, Inc. is excited to announce the grand opening celebration of the 30,000-square-foot expansion of its manufacturing plant located in Brookings, S.D. The celebration will be held on Friday, Oct. 3 as a part of the 2^nd annual SD Manufacturing Week.

Counterpart is an industrial fabrication company that produces parts and assemblies to meet the needs of electronics, agribusiness, utility vehicle, polyethylene and door and window industries. This is Counterpart’s third expansion since it began doing business in 1996, giving the company a total of 80,000 square feet of manufacturing space.

“Counterpart, Inc. is a great example of a thriving, grassroots company in South Dakota,” said Gov. Dennis Daugaard. “It is no stranger to the Governor’s Office of Economic Development (GOED). It’s been a long-time participant in our finance programs, and because of that partnership, many of the company’s enhancements and expansions have been made possible.”

Counterpart obtained a REDI (Revolving Economic Development & Initiative) Fund loan, a Workforce Development grant and Dakota Seeds funding through the GOED.
