Dennis Daugaard issued an executive order calling for the establishment of this council. Council members will work to identify strategies for improving achievement and graduation rates among South Dakota’s Native American students and report findings to the Legislature and the Governor by Dec. 1, 2015. Highway 34 – DENR staff will host two days of Visible Emission Evaluation Certification at the National Guard Armory, 3400 East Highway 34 in Pierre. The free “Spring Smoke School” field certification is open to those from industry, municipalities, consultants or anyone who would like to be certified to evaluate visible emissions (smoke/dust).
