Beadle County Fatal Crash
What: One-vehicle fatal crash
Where: 205th Street and 384th Ave.,1 ½ miles west of Wolsey
When: 2:15 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 21, 2015
Driver: Nicholas Hanks, 24, Wessington, S.D., Fatal Injuries
Vehicle: 2003 Ford Ranger Pickup
WOLSEY, S.D. – A Wessington, S.D., man, identified as Nicholas Hanks, died in a one-vehicle crash early Saturday morning west of Wolsey.
Hanks was driving a 2003 Ford Ranger pickup westbound on 205th Street when he lost control. The vehicle left the roadway and eventually rolled. Hanks, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected from the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The South Dakota Highway Patrol continues to investigate. Other agencies responding to the scene were Beadle County Sheriff’s Office and Wolsey ambulance
The Highway Patrol is part of the state Department of Public Safety.
