Name Released in Lincoln County Fatal Crash

What: One-vehicle crash

Where: Intersection of 269^th Avenue and 480^th Street, three miles east of Sioux Falls

Time: 7:46 p.m., Monday, Feb. 22, 2016

Driver: Thomas Krueger, 65, Sioux Falls, S.D., Fatal Injuries

Vehicle: 2011 Infinti QX56

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – A Sioux Falls man, Thomas Krueger, 65, has been identified as the fatality in a one-vehicle crash that occurred Monday night three miles east of Sioux Falls.

Krueger was driving a 2011 Infiniti QX56 westbound on 269^th Street approaching the T-intersection with 480^th Street. The vehicle went through the intersection before stopping in a grove of trees. Krueger, who was the lone occupant in the vehicle, was not wearing a seatbelt and was pronounced dead at the scene.

South Dakota’s Highway Patrol continues to investigate. Other agencies at the scene were the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, Harrisburg Fire Department and Paramedics Plus.

The Highway Patrol is part of the South Dakota Department of Public Safety.
