OAHE MARINA CONCESSIONAIRE PROPOSAL DEADLINE EXTENDED

PIERRE, S.D. - The deadline for anyone interested in purchasing and operating a resort within Oahe Downstream has been extended for 90 days. The sale price has been reduced to $625,000. Proposals must be received by June 1, 2016, at 3 p.m.

A prospectus for the business, located inside of the Oahe Downstream Recreation Area is now available online at http://gfp.sd.gov/state-parks/directory/oahe-downstream/. A hard copy of the prospectus is available by contacting the South Dakota Game, Fish and Parks’ Division of Parks and Recreation at 523 E. Capitol, Pierre, SD 57501 or at 605.773.3391.

The prospectus details the terms and conditions under which interested operators may submit a proposal for consideration. It also includes a detailed business opportunity, the requirements necessary to submit a proposal and a draft concession agreement for a term of ten years.

Oahe Downstream Recreation Area offers a multi-lane boat ramp, three campgrounds with 205 campsites, a swimming beach, seven camping cabins, a disc golf course and many other amenities such as a fish cleaning station, bath/shower house, picnic shelters and playgrounds. The marina has four housekeeping cabins, boat rental, slip rental, gas sales, and a full service restaurant and bar.

Oahe Downstream Recreation Area is located five miles north of Fort Pierre off Highway 1806.
