Regents Honor Terry Baloun

RAPID CITY, S.D. – The South Dakota Board of Regents Friday honored Regent Terry Baloun as he leaves the board after 12 years of service. Baloun was president of the board in 2009-11 and also served as its vice president and secretary. A native of Faulkton, Baloun is retired from the Wells Fargo banking system and lives in Sioux Falls.

“Regent Baloun is a strong advocate for the public university system,” Regents President Randy Schaefer said. “He helped lead initiatives to promote strong academic standards, develop innovative ways to allocate resources, and strengthen our relationships with state policymakers.”
