A westbound 2016 International Truck Tractor pulling a tanker trailer turned off Interstate 90 at the Scenic Overlook exit. The truck trailer went up the exit ramp and into the parking lot, hitting a curb. The truck tipped over and slid into a parked 2001 Toyota Corolla, located at the north end of the parking lot.

Haggard, who was driving the truck tractor, was transported to the Philip hospital where he was pronounced dead.
