Names Released in Aurora County Fatal Crash
What: One-vehicle rollover crash
Where: Interstate 90, mile marker 296, one mile west of White Lake, S.D.
Time: 3 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 11, 2016
Driver: Taylor Tolle, 22, Minneapolis, MN, Fatal Injuries
Passenger: Anjuli Kerlin, 20, Sturgis, S.D., Fatal Injuries
Vehicle: 1990 Volkswagon Cabriolet Convertible
WHITE LAKE, S.D. – Two people died in a one-vehicle rollover that occurred Thursday afternoon near White Lake.
A 1990 Volkswagon Cabriolet Convertible was westbound on Interstate 90 when the driver, Taylor Tolle, 22, Minneapolis, MN, lost control. The vehicle eventually entered the ditch where it rolled.
The female passenger, Anjuli Kerlin, 20, Sturgis, S.D., was pronounced dead at the scene. Tolle died Friday at a Sioux Falls hospital. Both were wearing seatbelts.
South Dakota’s Highway Patrol is investigating. Other responding agencies were Aurora County Sheriff’s Office, White Lake EMS and South Dakota Department of Transportation.
