Gov. Dennis Daugaard’s Public Commitments; Public Meetings:

 

Friday, Sept. 30, Custer State Park Gov. Dennis Daugaard, First Lady Linda Daugaard and Lt. Gov. Matt Michels will attend the 51st Annual Buffalo Roundup. The Roundup will take place near the corrals along Wildlife Loop Road. Parking areas open at 6:15 a.m. MDT and close at 9 a.m. For safety reasons, spectators need to remain in the viewing areas until all the buffalo are corralled, which typically occurs around noon. Tuesday, Sept. 27, 4 p.m. MDT, Rapid City, 713 7th Street – First Lady Linda Daugaard will read to children at the Dahl Arts Center in Rapid City. The event is free and open to the public. Children will hear “How the Turtle Cracked His Shell” by Robin Moore. Story time will be followed by a hands-on activity making pocket turtles.
