Skantze Named 2016 Champion of Independent Living Services
KEYSTONE, S.D. – Ted Skantze has been recognized by the South Dakota Statewide Independent Living Council (SILC) as a 2016 Champion of Independent Living Services.
Skantze, director of the Re-Member program, was nominated by the Native American Advocacy Program staff.
In recognizing Skantze, the following was shared from the nomination: “Ted is a vital partner in increasing accessibility for people with significant disabilities living on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation of South Dakota.”
The award presentation was during the Native Non-Profit Conference at the K Bar S Lodge. 2016 marks the second year SILC has recognized a Champion of Independent Living Services.
