President Calls For Flags At Half-Mast For

Peace Officers Memorial Day

PIERRE, S.D. – President Donald Trump has proclaimed today, May 15, as Peace Officers Memorial Day and the period of May 14 through May 20 as Police Week.

In accordance with the President’s proclamation, Gov. Dennis Daugaard is asking that flags be flown at half-staff today until sunset in honor of peace officers’ contributions and sacrifices.
