HURON, S.D. – The 14th Annual Wheel Jam will be held June 2-4 at the South Dakota State Fairgrounds in Huron.

Wheel Jam hosts the Wheel Jam Truck Show, car show, motorcycle show, Make it Mine Show ‘n Shine, The Original SD BBQ Championships and two nights of stock car racing featuring the Iverson’s Dakota Challenge and the Prostrollo Motors Challenge Cup.

“Wheel Jam is three big days, three big shows and thousands of wheels,” said assistant State Fair manager Candi Briley. “Come check out the iconic car, truck and motorcycle shows, as well as the numerous other events. Wheel Jam offers free event admission so it’s a weekend you don’t want to miss.” (***Download Briley audio here***)

Throughout the three days, there will also be activities specifically geared toward trucks, cars or motorcycles. Activities include the truck show light show, pick up party, poker run, biker games, parade, audio sound competition, ice house show down and classic car auction. McWhorter Entertainment Carnival will be set up for kids of all ages to enjoy. Vendors of all kinds have a place at Wheel Jam, too.

Wheel Jam also features live musical entertainment. On Friday, Nashville recording artist Tony Justice with Leland Harding III & Family Tradition will be playing on the 18 Wheel Stage at the Wheel Jam Truck Show. Also taking place on Friday is the Big Jim Jam Fest powered by O’Reilly Auto Parts featuring Pig Weed Union, Jade Monkey and Shades of Air. Closing off the night is the Black Water Band. The Dweebs will perform Saturday night on the Freedom Stage.

“In addition to the trucks, cars and motorcycles on display, there are multiple opportunities to tantalize your taste buds,” said Briley. “Stop by the Original SD BBQ Championships where the public can participate in the people’s choice tastings on Friday night and Saturday afternoon. People’s choice tasting for the F.A.T. Friday Chili Challenge is on Friday, June 2, beginning at 5:30 pm. Bring your kids as there will be a Kid Zone area during the event. Saturday, attendees can feast on four different meats prepared by Backyard BBQ teams.” (***Download Briley audio here***)
