Inmate Lydell Black Spotted Horse Placed on Escape Status

SIOUX FALLS, S.D.- A minimum-security state prison inmate has been placed on escape status.

Inmate Lydell Black Spotted Horse left the Sioux Falls Community Work Center without authorization Jan. 6.

Black Spotted Horse is a 31 year old Native American male. He is 5 feet 6 and weighs 145 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes.

Black Spotted Horse is serving a 4-year sentence for unauthorized ingestion of a controlled substance from Tripp County.

Leaving a non-secure correctional facility without authorization is a Class 5 felony which carries a maximum of five years in prison.
