ABERDEEN, S.D. – The South Dakota Department of Transportation will begin bridge work on 3rd Avenue SE over Moccasin Creek in Aberdeen on Tuesday, April 9.
3rd Avenue will be closed from just east of the entrance to the Primrose Retirement Community to approximately 500-feet east of South Wilson Street
South Wilson Street is closed south of 3rd Avenue SE.
Motorists will need to find an alternate route during the construction.
This work is part of a nearly $1.2 million contract with Prahm Construction, Inc. to replace the structure on 3rd Avenue SE in the City of Aberdeen.
The expected completion date for the structure is October, with an overall completion date of Nov. 16.
