Inmate Michael Rich Death

SIOUX FALLS, S.D.- State prison inmate Michael Rich has died.

Rich passed away Dec. 15 in a comfort care setting at the Jameson Annex to the South Dakota State Penitentiary in Sioux Falls following an illness.

Rich was serving a 15-year sentence with 1-year suspended from Meade County for aggravated assault.

Rich was 46 years old.
