Job Fair and Layoff Assistance for Cimpl’s Employees

PIERRE, S.D. – The Department of Labor and Regulation (DLR), in collaboration with Yankton Thrive and community partners, is supporting the employees and families impacted by the permanent closure of Cimpl’s, LLC in Yankton.

A Community Job and Resources Fair will be held on Tuesday, March 25 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the National Field Archery Association Headquarters located at 800 Archery Lane in Yankton. For more information, visit https://www.yanktonsd.com/tour-de-yankton/community-job-fair/.

Rapid Response informational meetings are scheduled at 9 and 11 a.m. to provide layoff assistance and guidance. DLR will explain the process of applying for reemployment assistance benefits and provide resources to find new employment or training opportunities. Translation services will be available.

Yankton currently has 583 job openings and an unemployment rate of 1.8%.
