State Fair Seeks Guest Entertainers on Centennial Stage
HURON, S.D. – The State Fair and perennial State Fair entertainer Sherwin Linton are excited to invite entertainers of all ages to submit their acts for consideration to be featured on the Centennial Stage during the 2025 South Dakota State Fair.
South Dakota native Sherwin Linton has been a State Fair staple, hosting his show on the Centennial Stage for more than 30 years. A well-received part of Sherwin’s three daily performances has been the involvement of South Dakota musicians, singers, and entertainers as guests on his stage. Many of these entertainers have gone on to regional and national recognition. Linton and his wife, Pam, have showcased dozens of other musicians and singers who have gone on to successful careers in music with their band, “The Cotton Kings.”
To be a guest on the 2025 Centennial Stage, please submit your name, contact information, a resume, or description of your talent by email to candi.briley@state.sd.us. Submissions are due by May 1.
The 2025 South Dakota State Fair kicks off on Channel Seeds Opening Day, Wednesday, August 27, and runs through Monday, September 1. For more information, contact the State Fair office at 800-529-0900, visit www.sdstatefair.com or check it out on Facebook, Instagram, and X.
