ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT BOARD APPROVES PROJECTS ACROSS SOUTH DAKOTA
PIERRE, S.D. – The South Dakota Governor’s Office of Economic Development (GOED) Board of Economic Development has approved several projects that will contribute more than $37 million in capital expenditures and create 86 full-time jobs across the state.
“South Dakota remains Open for Opportunity, and these projects reflect the strength of our business environment,” said Governor Larry Rhoden. “With strategic investments and strong partnerships, we continue to empower companies that are choosing to grow right here in South Dakota.”
BMaddox Enterprises LLC, doing business as Silencer Central, has been approved for a $5 million REDI loan to help finance equipment for its new 63,000-square-foot facility in Sioux Falls. The project will increase manufacturing capacity, improve operational efficiency through the implementation of an automated warehouse system, and support the company’s long-term growth strategy.
A $1.35 million REDI loan and a $706,066 SD Works loan have been approved to support the expansion plans of Dakota Automation Inc. The REDI loan will be used for the purchase of BVH LLC by DAP LLC. The SD Works loan financing will support an immediate facility expansion to accommodate additional lines of equipment and the company’s plans for future growth.
Sentry SD Properties LLC has been approved for a $2.875 million REDI loan to support the purchase of a 50,000-square-foot manufacturing facility it currently occupies in Watertown. The purchase of this facility solidifies Sentry’s long-term presence in South Dakota and provides opportunities for continued business growth and future expansion.
Cabin Still Cattle Company LLC has been awarded a $47,408 South Dakota Jobs Grant to support the construction of a new 28,000-square-foot cattle confinement barn in Hamlin County. The project will expand the operation’s capacity and help sustain this fourth-generation family business.
“Whether it’s ag or manufacturing, businesses are choosing to grow in South Dakota,” said GOED Commissioner Bill Even. “It’s exciting to see that commitment firsthand, and GOED is proud to help make these projects possible.”
