Flags at Half-Staff at State Capitol in Honor of Lyndell Petersen

PIERRE, S.D. – Today, Governor Larry Rhoden ordered that flags be flown at half-staff at the State Capitol from sunrise until sunset on Monday, August 18, 2025, in honor of former state legislator Lyndell Petersen. He served in the South Dakota State Senate from 1977 to 1994.

Lyndell Petersen will be honored at the Central States Fair on Monday, August 18, 2025.
