SOUTH DAKOTA BOARD OF ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT APPROVES FUNDING FOR FOOD MANUFACTURING PROJECT

PIERRE, S.D. The South Dakota Board of Economic Development has approved a REDI (Revolving Economic Development and Initiative) Loan of up to $15 million for SFC Global Supply Chain, Inc to support new investment and job creation in Sioux Falls.

“This project represents one of the top accomplishments of the Noem-Rhoden Administration and shows what’s possible when the state and private sector work together toward shared goals,” said Governor Larry Rhoden. “We’re proud to support projects that strengthen communities, create jobs, and keep South Dakota Open for Opportunity.”

The funding will support construction of a new frozen foods manufacturing facility in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. The project represents a significant investment in the state’s growing food manufacturing industry and is expected to create nearly 600 new jobs.

“South Dakota’s business climate continues to earn the confidence of major employers,” said GOED Commissioner Bill Even. “When good companies choose to expand here, it benefits our workforce, our communities, and our state as a whole.”

Board members also noted that previous loan approvals for SFC Global Supply Chain, Inc. did not close or fund and are now expired.
