State prison offender Travis Long Fox has died.

Long Fox, age 33, was found unresponsive in his cell at the South Dakota State Penitentiary in Sioux Falls on November 4^th. He was transported to a local hospital where he passed away on November 7^th.

Long Fox was serving sentences for receiving/transferring a stolen vehicle from Pennington County, grand theft from Hughes County, intentional damage to property and third-degree burglary from Stanley County, second-degree burglary from Sully County, and possession of a controlled substance from Minnehaha County.

The death is being investigated by the Department of Corrections Office of the Inspector General and the Division of Criminal Investigation.
