Minnehaha County, S.D.- A Mitchell, South Dakota woman died Monday from injuries sustained during a Saturday morning hit and run crash near Humboldt, South Dakota.

Names of the those involved have not been released pending notification of family members.

Preliminary crash information indicates the driver of a 2012 Chevrolet Traverse was traveling eastbound on I-90 when she attempted to pull off on the side of the road. At the same time, the Traverse was struck by an eastbound Semi pulling a trailer. The truck continued driving east after the crash and has yet to be located. The driver of the Traverse was transported to a Sioux Falls hospital where she died from her injuries.

The investigation is ongoing. All information released is preliminary.

The Highway Patrol is an agency of the South Dakota Department of Public Safety.
