Flags at Half-Staff at State Capitol in Honor of Dean Schrempp

PIERRE, S.D. – Today, Governor Larry Rhoden ordered that flags be flown at half-staff at the State Capitol from sunrise until sunset on Saturday, March 14, 2026, in honor of former state legislator Darrel “Dean” Schrempp. He served in the South Dakota State House of Representatives from 1993 to 1995, 1997 to 1999, and 2009 to 2016.

A service will be held at 11 am CT/10 am MT on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at All Saints Parish in Eagle Butte, SD.
