Pennington County, S.D.- A Hill City, South Dakota man died Tuesday in a single-vehicle crash near Custer, South Dakota.

Names of the those involved have not been released pending notification of family members.

Preliminary crash information indicates the driver of a 1999 Toyota 4Runner was traveling northbound on Medicine Mountain Road when the vehicle approached two UTVs traveling south. The driver failed to negotiate the curve, and lost control of the vehicle. The 4Runner entered the ditch and rolled. The driver sustained fatal injuries.

The investigation is ongoing. All information released is preliminary.

The Highway Patrol is an agency of the South Dakota Department of Public Safety.
