Governor Rhoden to Break Ground on Freeman Hospital and Clinic

PIERRE, S.D. – Tomorrow, Governor Larry Rhoden will break ground on the Freeman Regional Health Services’ new hospital and clinic. Freeman Regional Health Services is an independent community hospital with Avera affiliation.

The groundbreaking will take place on Tuesday, October 20, 2026, at 1:30 pm CT/12:30 pm MT at the construction site west of Highway 81 between 6th Street and 279th Street, Freeman, SD 57029.
