South Dakota State Parks to Host Outdoor Activities for Holiday Weekend
PIERRE, S.D. – This Memorial Day, the Department of Game, Fish and Parks (GFP) is inviting people to enjoy all the parks have to offer over the holiday weekend.
- Wishard Memorial Disc Golf Tournament, Oahe Downstream Recreation Area, Fort Pierre. Saturday, May 27, 9 a.m. CT. Info: 605.223.7722
- Fishing Derby, Oakwood Lakes State Park, Bruce. Saturday, May 27, 9 a.m. CT. Info: 605.627.5441
- Memorial Day Bike Parade, Pelican Lake Recreation Area, Watertown. Saturday, May 27, 3 p.m. CT. Info: 605.882.5200
- Just for Fun Pet Show, Chief White Crane Recreation Area, Yankton. Saturday, May 27, 7 p.m.
All events are free with park entrance license except the Wishard Memorial disc golf tournament which has an entrance fee.
