Noem Encourages South Dakota Leaders to Apply for the White House Fellows Program

PIERRE, S.D. – On behalf of the President’s Commission on White House Fellowships, Governor Kristi Noem today encouraged “up-and-coming South Dakota leaders” to apply to the White House Fellows Program.

“People are the pillars of progress, and South Dakota is home to the best and brightest,” saidNoem. “The White House Fellowship program equips fellows with the tools they need to better strengthen their communities and industries. This is a great way for up-and-coming South Dakota leaders to gain a deeper understanding of the government. If you’re interested, consider applying today.”

Since its inception in 1964, the White House Fellowship has served as a uniquely non-partisan program committed to leadership and service. Its goal is to identify those with great leadership potential, bring them to Washington, D.C. for one year to learn how the government works, and then have them return to their communities.

The 2020-2021 White House Fellowship program year will begin in August 2020 and conclude in August 2021. All applicants must be U.S. citizens and have completed their undergraduate education. Interested individuals may apply at fellows.whitehouse.gov. The application window closes January 8, 2020 at 4 p.m. CT.
