Names Released In Fall River Fatal Crash
What: One-Vehicle Fatal Crash
Where: U.S. Highway 18, mile marker 70
Eight miles east of Oelrichs, S.D.
When: 7:45 p.m., Sunday, April 5, 2020
Driver: Brandon Campbell, 25, Rapid City, S.D., Fatal Injuries
Passenger: Kelly Campbell, 27, Custer, S.D., Serious Non-Life Threatening Injuries
Vehicle: 2001 Honda Accord
OELRICHS, S.D. – A Rapid City, S.D. man has been identified as the victim in a one-vehicle crash that occurred Sunday night east of Oelrichs.
A 2001 Honda Accord was westbound when the vehicle left the roadway, went into the south ditch and rolled.
Brandon Campbell, who was the 25-year-old driver, was not wearing a seat belt and was thrown from the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The 27-year-old passenger, Kelly Campbell of Custer, S.D., was wearing a seat belt. He suffered serious non-life threatening injuries and was transferred to a Rapid City hospital.
South Dakota’s Highway Patrol continues to investigate the crash. All information is only preliminary at this point.
The Highway Patrol is part of the South Dakota Department of Public Safety.
