State prison inmate dies

SIOUX FALLS, S.D.- A state prison inmate has died.

Inmate Leslie Barse, age 52, passed away at a Sioux Falls hospital Dec. 12 of natural causes.

Barse was serving a 9-year, 6-month sentence with 5 years suspended for distribution of a controlled substance from Roberts County and a concurrent 4-year, 6-month sentence with 3 years suspended for possession of a controlled substance from Codington County.
