Name Released In Grant County Fatal Crash
What: One-Vehicle Fatal Crash
Where: Intersection 467th Avenue and 166th Street
Seven miles north of Goodwin, S.D.
When: 3:40 p.m., Friday, April 2, 2021
Driver: Aaron Kroshus, 33, Melrose, MN, Fatal Injuries
Vehicle: 1992 GMC Conventional Fertilizer Truck
GOODWIN, S.D. – A Melrose, MN man has been identified as the person who died Friday afternoon in a one-vehicle crash north of Goodwin.
Preliminary crash information indicates a 1992 GMC Conventional fertilizer truck was northbound on 467th Avenue at the intersection of 166th Street when the driver failed to negotiate a curve. The vehicle left the roadway and rolled.
Aaron Kroshus, who was the 33-year-old driver, was pronounced dead at the scene. He was wearing a seat belt.
South Dakota’s Highway Patrol is investigating the crash. All information released so far is only preliminary.
The Highway Patrol is part of the South Dakota Department of Public Safety.
