Two minimum-security inmates placed on escape status

SIOUX FALLS, S.D.- Two minimum-security inmates have been placed on escape status.

Shawn Mills and Ronnie Wayne Moore left the Sioux Falls Community Work Center without authorization May 17.

Mills is a 44-year old white male with brown hair and brown eyes. He is 5-feet-9 inches tall and weighs approximately 190 pounds. Mills is serving sentences for forgery and identity theft from Minnehaha County.

Moore is a 44-year old white male. He is 6-feet-1 inches tall and weighs approximately 210 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes. Moore is serving a sentence for DWI 6th offense from Codington County.

Leaving a non-secure correctional facility without authorization constitutes second-degree escape, a Class 5 felony punishable by up to five years in prison.
